It is made from durable, heat resistant glass and is suitable for use in microwave, oven and can also be used to store ingredients in the fridge or freezer. The jug can be used for both sweet and savoury dishes with no risk of flavour transference as the glass is made from non-porous material where no food flavours are absorbed. This borosilicate glass can safely move between a maximum temperature difference of 220°C, e.g. between an oven temperature of 200°C and a freezer temperature of -20°C. All the Pyrex glass products are oven safe up to 300°C and can go in the freezer to -40°C.
