Especially with soft wood sparks can be relatively strong and with some damp wood there may occur smoke development. The firepit is easy to use. Simply fill the bowl with small, dry pieces of wood and light it. You may be able to take fuel or a fire lighter to speed up the process; fill the fireplace with some wood to keep the fire alive.
