There must be at least a 0.4m clearing between the heater and ceilings/roofs There must be at least a 0.5m clearing between the heater and adjacent walls/fabrics There must be at least a 1.8m clearing between the bottom edge of the heater and the floor When using a 3kW heater in commercial premises or other locations where the heaters are used continuously for long periods then it is advisable to consult an electrician. A 3kW heater used for long periods may need to be hard-wired into a 20A fused spur rather than used in a standard 13A socket.
